The King William IV team is very proud to be included in the Michelin Guide to Eating Out in Pubs 2009.

It is fantastic to receive such recognition of our efforts to provide an excellent dining experience, without compromising our heritage. We are a friendly pub with great food and a warm and cosy atmosphere in cooler days. In the Spring and Summer, our charming, secluded garden, has lots of space and is always popular with locals and visitors to the area.

More feedback and press coverage:

The Guardian online ‘Been There’ section:

“An excellent place to refuel before tackling the steep climb up Box Hill, the King William IV pub in Mickleham, near Dorking, has excellent roast dinners on Sunday. “

Surrey Life Feature:

“Renowned for its fantastic food and the beautiful views from its terrace, the King William IV appears in many of the good food guides. In particular, it is one of the few Surrey pubs to feature in the prestigious Michelin Guide.
Once a beer house for Lord Beaverbrook’s staff, it is now a free house run by Ian and Liz Duke. As well as providing excellent food, they choose their own beers and have a number of local brews on tap. ”
